No, on a Friday, or Saturday night I have to start getting a girlfriend and myself going out to a dance -- now that would be a plan! The only problem is most of my girlfriends are married or live too far away -- now that's a problem!!!!!
I feel like I'm drowning in this big ocean -- on the Titanic -- and I want to go on a cruise? Hell, yes!!!!
Guy cruising on a love site -- well that is no treat let me tell you. It is more of a let down than a pick me upper. I really havn't made up my mind -- you have to really be in the mood -- to be bothered. Everyone is a gourmet cook and sky dives -- you get my drift.
I am sure people are thinking this is so hokey -- and no-one is even reading my bantering on and on about -- finding true love. Remember that girl who had the cooking project well, the only person who was reading her blog at first was her Mom -- and she got -- so excited. And then -- a dam movie and a book to boot! So, if any of my relatives or friends are reading this just -- hit the friends connect -- so I can have that excited feeling too. Knowing that somewhere out there in the BLOGISPHERE -- someone cares -- someone is listening -- someone is going through what I am going through.
Think smart I tell myself -- join some type of club. Well, something that guys would go to. I really have to put some thought into this. A book club in my neighbourhood -- not sure. I actually went to a writing class in the evening at Ryerson -- and there were no pickins in that group. So, I think I really have to do my homework on what to join.
Cupid -- your not doing your job -- you should be fired you delinquent fairy!!!!
I think I will dream about my true love tonight -- what he will look like -- how sweet he will be -- how well suited he is to me -- how he will laugh at my jokes -- and make my heart beat so fast -- thump thump thump!!!!
Another day -- tomorrow -- a new set of possibilities. I will just have to stay strong and soldier on.
What about taking a salsa class? I started taking one when I was newly single (to keep my mind off things) and I found out very quickly that 90% of the class was also newly single and most of them joined because they were looking for someone else. You may not even find that guy in class but once you start learning the steps and start going out to the dance socials, you meet a TON of people. You mentioned you didn't have anyone to go out and dance with, well you will meet people who all want to go out dancing in class. There are salsa classes that are specifically aimed at singles and older folk. In the class I was in I was the youngest person there. The next youngest person was close to 30 (and he happened to be a hot balling doctor who happened to be interested in me).
