DAY FIVE

Today TGIF -- should have been a great day.

Horribly -- on my way into work -- I found myself -- flying through the air -- at record speed. The TTC bus driver had to brake suddenly to avoid hitting a car.

An eye witness at the front of the bus claimed that the bus driver was cut off - the police officer just said -- rules are rules -- that the bus had to be following too close -- does that make sense?

So here's me -- bleeding from the face -- laying flat out on the floor -- amongst a bunch of upset strangers. Were any cute guys there to rescue me? Well, of course not -- that only happens in the movies --don't ya know.

I finally got up in my dazed state to find a co-worker from my building had fallen over backwards. I held her hand and reassured her she would be fine. She needed a neck brace, a back board and then an ambulance.

Anyway the morning was just -- too full of drama -- the accident -- the bad cut --right across my pretty face. I was shocked to see it (the cut) when I went to the bathroom. I went running out to the doctor. He reassured me it would heal and probably not leave a scar.

I look like someone attacked me with a knife -- you get the picture -- scarface. What's that got to do with my love life -- everything -- right now I feel like Freddy Crugger's girlfriend.

Tonight I will be chilling out -- putting stawberry and blueberry frozen bags --on this nasty cut.

What will I be doing all weekend? Well, pull out the kleenex. I plan to watch a really sucky chick flick - to heal my wounded face and heart.

Tonight as it comes to an end -- Star light -- star bright -- the first star I see tonight -- I wish I may, I wish I might -- have the wish -- I wish tonight.

DAY FOUR

Well -- you guessed it -- another loser day in Toronto. I did have lunch with a friend in a new place -- right across the street from police headquarters -- a cute cope now-- that would be nice -- but everyone is so engrossed in conversation with their friends -- they actually would think your nuts if you interrupted. And what are you going to say anyway -- oh I think your cute -- and then you notice the gold wedding band. That would not be cool!

No, on a Friday, or Saturday night I have to start getting a girlfriend and myself going out to a dance -- now that would be a plan! The only problem is most of my girlfriends are married or live too far away -- now that's a problem!!!!!

I feel like I'm drowning in this big ocean -- on the Titanic -- and I want to go on a cruise? Hell, yes!!!!

Guy cruising on a love site -- well that is no treat let me tell you. It is more of a let down than a pick me upper. I really havn't made up my mind -- you have to really be in the mood -- to be bothered. Everyone is a gourmet cook and sky dives -- you get my drift.

I am sure people are thinking this is so hokey -- and no-one is even reading my bantering on and on about -- finding true love. Remember that girl who had the cooking project well, the only person who was reading her blog at first was her Mom -- and she got -- so excited. And then -- a dam movie and a book to boot! So, if any of my relatives or friends are reading this just -- hit the friends connect -- so I can have that excited feeling too. Knowing that somewhere out there in the BLOGISPHERE -- someone cares -- someone is listening -- someone is going through what I am going through.

Think smart I tell myself -- join some type of club. Well, something that guys would go to. I really have to put some thought into this. A book club in my neighbourhood -- not sure. I actually went to a writing class in the evening at Ryerson -- and there were no pickins in that group. So, I think I really have to do my homework on what to join.

Cupid -- your not doing your job -- you should be fired you delinquent fairy!!!!

I think I will dream about my true love tonight -- what he will look like -- how sweet he will be -- how well suited he is to me -- how he will laugh at my jokes -- and make my heart beat so fast -- thump thump thump!!!!

Another day -- tomorrow -- a new set of possibilities. I will just have to stay strong and soldier on.

DAY THREE

My love deadline -- to meet my handsome Prince within 365 days. Oh, and like I promised, I did change my routine today and spent 20 minutes (holy cow) in the coffee shop in the lobby. Nothing, nada, no one interesting caught my eye. How do you flirt in your office building anyway? Imagine, you meet up with someone at work and it doesn't work out -- what a disaster that would be. So, I have decided I have to venture across the road to nearby Timmy's and just hang around during my break.

Wow, this all sounds so --desperado -- maybe if I stop caring -- then it would happen. God has to be bored out of his mind with my nightly affirmation asking the Universe to intervene and hand over some super guys -- looks, money, personality -- the whole 9 yards. Asking for too much -- that might be the problem. Ok then I will settle for -- attraction. So let the Laws of Attraction work their magic -- do you hear me Universe?

I had to take myself off of some deadbeat lovesites. They kept sending me the cutest guys but they were from all over the planet. And, to send a reply you had to pay money -- so I just thought forget it!

Now, I am dreaming about taking a cruise. A big ship on a beautiful ocean with tons of fantastic possibilities -- love at sea -- imagine. At least my dreams will comfort me! I just need a bucket of money to fall into my lap and right now how is that going to happen unless I win the lotto. Oh, I must remember to buy my ticket.

Maybe the bookstore tomorrow night!!!

Cupid -- you really let me down today -- if you've been listening -- sharpen your bow -- or take some brush up lessons.

I bet you can't wait until tomorrow -- stay tuned.

DAY TWO

Wow, a young man stopped me on my way to lunch. Downtown of course everyone has their hand out for money so my first reaction was to tell him -- I have no spare change. He looked at me with a smile and said -- oh -- I just wanted to tell you how beautiful you are. I was surprised, smiled, and thanked him. The only problem was -- he was only about 20 -- only 30 years too young. It really made my day though -- imagine.

Today's tip: don't sign up for more than one love site unless you have a ton of money. They say sign up for free -- and as soon as you want to communicate with someone -- guess what the credit card signs -- paypal -- they all start showing up.

Since there wasn't even one person to flirt with today I decided tomorrow I would change one of my routines -- go to a different coffee shop -- or maybe browse the bookstore after work. Get myself out there. You have to admit, I am trying.

Today was a loser -- Cupid where are you?

Any ideas for DATEGIRL?
